fondacio in England

In England fondacio has a small group in the South East and North West (our members live in Essex, Kent, London and the Wirral).

We hold monthly meetings in the SE for members on 1 or 2 weekend days each month from September through to June (which forms our 'community year') and we also hold less formal 'home groups' on 1 evening a month over our year.

Some of our meetings each year are held as 'open' days or weekends when we invite like-minded people to join us and experience our unique blend of nourishment for the mind, body and spirit.

At the end of each community year we gather for a weekend to prayerfully look at our lives, our faith and our calling. Both individually and as a group. We then decide whether we are called to rejoin the community for the following year.

Whilst our origins are very much based in those of our French Catholic founders, we operate on an ecumenical basis and welcome those of other denominations, of other faiths or no or little faith!

To find out more please contact one of the people in charge: Teresa Young or Peter Robson. Contact email details are included in the section at the bottom of this page (sorry but you will have to type the address into your email manually as we are trying to cut down on spam and do not use email hotlinks).

About international 'fondacio'

fondacio is an international Christian community, which now operates in 24 countries, including in England for the last 22 years.

Our tag line is "Christians for the World" and whilst firmly routed in our French Catholic origin we operate on an ecumenical basis and reach out to all from young to old, rich to poor. There are groups in Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America. Each group in each country works with it's own charisms and calling.

Currently fondacio groups are involved in working with young people, couples, families, seniors, leaders in business and society, people living in poverty or excluded from society.

To find out more about the international fondacio please visit the international website http://www.fondacio.org/

Although this site is written in French you will be able to see an English version of some of the content by selecting the "ENG" link at the top of the web page. There are links from this website to other country websites. If you go to the Asia website (follow links to Malaysia or Philipines) there is a lot of English langauge content to view.

After the discernment weekend

My first incursion into this new website - I hope it is part of the new start, new energy for us after the discernment weekend just gone. It was a real blessing to have Clare & Patrick with us - this always seems to be true when we have visitors from Fondacio International. I think the image of us turning outwards & seeing Christ in the world remains with me most vividly - I wish I had a picture of the sculpture that we love with the candle placed outside of it - representing us & Christ in the world.
